About Us

Unique Port of Vancouver Setting
A Garden 25 Years Young
We are one of the longest-running community gardens on Vancouver’s East Side.
We enjoy a unique and fabulous setting overlooking the Port of Vancouver in Wall Street’s Cambridge Park.
We were founded in 1999 by local residents Jan and Janet to strengthen ties in our neglected Forgotten Triangle neighborhood.
For a quarter century, we have believed in the power of friendship and human connection to resist the isolation promoted by elites.
And always we have reached out to our Indigenous neighbors to welcome their participation in the garden.
We humbly acknowledge that we sit on unceded Indigenous land. We support Reconciliation and full compensation to Indigenous peoples for the catastrophes wrought by colonialism and European imperialism.
Via our wait list, plots are democratically allocated to interested Vancouver residents. And we provide shared gardening and free produce to our neighbors.
We are a community building a community. In an increasingly broken Vancouver, we aim to improve well-being by enhancing green space and human solidarity.
