First increase in 15 years
AGM Hikes Fees
2024 saw the first membership fee increase in more than 15 years.
2024’s AGM has voted unanimously to raise annual membership fees from $20 to $35.
The Garden Board had recommended the increase to tackle the many repairs facing the garden.
This year, the board hopes to use some of the new revenue to repair the two garden gates.
Other repairs expected in coming years include replacing the garden fence and fixing the toolshed, both nearly 25 years old.
This year’s fee hike was the first in almost two decades.
Fixed-income members unable to pay the increased fees can make arrangements with the Treasurer or Membership Coordinator.
